Hi. I installed VL 'cos I have an AMD 2GHrz, 256RAM and WindowsXP.
I wanna still having my windows, so I parted the HD.
hdb1 is for Win and the other (It names hdb5, I do not know why) with VL installed.
The problem is that when I turn on the computar, in the LILOs menĂº appears Windows, and no more.
How can I star my VL?Huh?
Thanks a lot.

PD: I looked for this topic in the forum, but I was not able to find it. Thanks!

Boot from your install CD again. When you see some information and it asks you to press "Enter", type
Code:
lilo root=/dev/hdb5 ro 2
Log in as root and run command
Code:
vliloconf
Follow the prompts.

I did that, but It printed:

Loading LILO
Invalid or corrupt kernel image
Boot

Then started the installer.
Is there any problem with the ISO file? I'm stalling from an USB.

There is a problem with your kernel image then. Something went wrong during the installation.

Assuming you are using VL 6.0:
The kernel should have been copied from (ISO)/isolinux/kernel/sata to (hard drive)/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.27.12.
Additionally, a symlink called "vmlinuz" pointing to it, should have been created.
You can do this manually and run vliloconfig again.
