Greeting from Australia:
I have just installed the VL5.9-64 bit standard and I think I have finally found an excellent balance in a distro.
An ncurser installer that does not hide important information/options behind a fluffy gui ( I hope the later version 6.0 still has this as an option?) and an excellent basic functional system that allows you to get on line to customized later.  I am currently using wolvix as a workstation (also an excellent slackware distro) and have slackware 12.2 loaded for education purposes. Vector looks like a very well polished system.  Smiley
