How to modify boot choice sequence in Lilo

The default list of boot choices that Lilo gives me is

linux
Win
...
...

I'd like to change that to

Win
linux
...
...

in /etc/lilo.conf,  I've tried changing the line 

default = linux
  to
default = Win 

  but that doesn't seem to have had any effect.

My VL is on hda1 and my WinXP is on hda2

Ah yes, I can hear you asking why anyone would want to make such a retrograde change.     It's because I'm travelling and using a mobile broadband dongle for my internet access, and I haven't yet figured out how to make VL go on-line via that dongle.   Therefore Win needs to be my first boot choice for the time being.     OK?

After editing lilo.conf run lilo -v in a terminal as root.
