I am running Vector 6 Gold and I have been a Slackware user for some time.
I prefer Vector but with Vector 6 there are couple of things that I can't find.
I used to use file manager superuser but can't find it or the equivalent.
I am working around it but I used to find it very convenient.
Is there a way to make thunar file manager work with superuser?
Maybe I am missing something easy but I have looked a lot.
Another one I miss is kpackage. Last is slideshow as screensaver.
I can't seem to find them.

To the right of the File icon on the panel is a small up arrow. Click the arrow and super file manager will appear.

You can install kpackager but you would have to install at least partially kde.

I have some screencasts on installing kde
For kde 3.5.10

For kde 4.?

Thanks very much for the help.
I am really getting to like this Vector Linux.
I will have to keep learning as I go.
It does all I want and then some.
Problems solved.
