Sound Problem (onboard sound)
« on: June 10, 2009, 11:07:49 am »

Hi Peeps,

My eldest daughter has a homebrew PC (we all do!). This one is an A-bit N-2F Motherboard running an Athlon Processor (2.21 GHz) with 1 Gb RAM. The onboard sound card is a RealTek Audio chip with 6 channel sound. alsaconf is picking this up as an nVidia RTHL sound but just after the screen flashes saying OK I glimpse that it is trying to load an Intel driver when everything is AMD (to the best of my knowledge).

Any advice appreciated.

Best regards,
