What version of VL you are using?

For VL5.9 or VL6, we using either HAL or VL-HOT to mount device like pendrive.

You may be looking for you pendrive to show up on the desktop, but in vl-light it does not. Instead it will show up in you file manager.  Plug in your pen drive and watch for it to appear on the left hand side pane of pcmanfm (the file manager).

Are you sure? There is a icon appear when I plug in my pendrive in to my VL5.9 and 6-Light system. Both are using VL-HOT.

VL-Light puts an icon on my desktop when I plug in a pendrive. I use vl-hot. Actually, it's two icons: one for the drive's files and one for unmount the drive.

I have been using vl-6.0 light with Hal, maybe that is the difference.  Perhaps if vlesperanza is also using HAL, switching to vl-hot could solve the issue.

My PC is not new, maybe the ports are not compatible with USB 2.0. I will try.

If you use HAL in Light, the drive should show up in the left panel in Pcmanfm.

vlesperanza, can you confirm if you see the pendrive on the left hand side pane of the file manager.
